SINTEF’s research group for Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is looking to hire a new researcher for a permanent position. Both candidates with a master’s degree or a PhD are encouraged to apply.

At SINTEF, you will be part of a leading research environment on industrially applied machine learning and work together with major Norwegian companies. You will be involved in both contract-based and strategic research, write proposals, manage projects and client contacts, etc.

As a researcher in our group for Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in Oslo, you will join a team of experienced, competent and creative colleagues. Our research is mainly focused on the intersection between data-driven methods and mathematical modelling. In particular, we are looking for researchers with interest and talent for programming. The ideal candidate is well experienced in machine learning and has knowledge of dynamic systems, as well as skills in programming and program development in teams.

Desired expertise andskills:

  • Master or doctoral degree in machine learning, cybernetics, mathematics, statistics, algorithm design, computer science, or similar
  • Experience in the field of machine learning, data analytics, dynamic systems, control theory or related subjects
  • Solid knowledge of Python (familiarity with additional programming languages is an advantage)
  • Experience from industry is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate well with clients and collaborators
  • The candidate is expected to have great organizational skills such as the ability to plan, coordinate resources and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills are required
  • Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an advantage
